The chemical composition of ASTM A789 S32205 heat exchanger tubes includes 22% Cr, 5% Ni, 3% Mo, and nitrogen, with a Pitting Resistance Equivalent Number (PREN) ≥ 35. The yield strength of ASTM A789 S32205 stainless steel pipes is ≥ 450 MPa, which is twice that of 304 stainless steel, and its resistance to stress corrosion cracking is significantly superior to that of austenitic stainless steels. It is widely used in seawater pipelines for nuclear power plants, oil and gas transportation, and high-temperature heat exchangers.
