What is Super Duplex 2507 Stainless Steel Pipe?
Super Duplex 2507 Pipe (UNS S32750, EN 1.4410) is the top grade of duplex stainless steel, with austenite + ferrite dual phase structure (each accounting for about 50%). Its seamless/welded process formed pipe is suitable for extreme environments with ultra-high chloride ions (Cl⁻＞10,000ppm), high pressure (＞20MPa), and high temperature (≤300℃). It complies with international standards such as ASTM A790 and ISO 15156-3, and is a benchmark material in the fields of offshore oil and gas, chemical industry, nuclear power, etc.

What is the difference between super duplex 2507 pipe and 2205?
Composition: 2507 contains 25% Cr, 4% Mo, 0.3% N (2205 is 22% Cr, 3% Mo, 0.2% N), 150% higher Cl⁻ concentration resistance, 20% higher strength.
Can 2507 stainless steel pipe be used for concentrated sulfuric acid?
It can withstand ≤50% sulfuric acid (60℃). When the concentration is higher or the temperature exceeds 80℃, it needs to be upgraded to Hastelloy (such as C-22). 2507 performs well in dilute sulfuric acid, but is not suitable for fuming sulfuric acid.
Is it difficult to weld super duplex 2507 stainless steel seamless pipe?
It is recommended to use ER2507 special welding wire, control the heat input ≤1.2kJ/mm, and the interlayer temperature is <100℃. The weldability is better than nickel-based alloys, and qualified welders can achieve a one-time flaw detection pass rate of more than 95%.
