What is the difference between SUH409L and standard 409 or 409L?

SUH409L is produced according to the JIS G4312 standard (heat-resisting steel), whereas 409/409L typically follows the ASTM A240 standard (pressure vessels and general stainless steel).
The chemical compositions of the three are very similar. The suffix "L" stands for "Low Carbon," which gives it better weldability and formability compared to standard 409. In most automotive exhaust system applications, SUH409L and 409L are interchangeable.

Intermittent service: It can withstand oxidation at temperatures up to approximately 815°C during intermittent heating/cooling cycles.

What welding consumables should be used for SUH409L?
