What is ASTM A276 304H Stainless Steel Round Bars ?
304H stainless steel bar is a high carbon variant of 304 stainless steel. It optimizes the strength and creep resistance at high temperatures by increasing the carbon content. "H" stands for "High Carbon". Compared with ordinary 304, 304H has a higher carbon content. The purpose is to maintain stronger tensile strength and creep resistance in high temperature environments of 500-700℃. It is suitable for long-term load-bearing conditions. Austenitic stainless steel round bars that meet ASTM A276 standards are suitable for machining and engineering structural parts.

What is the corrosion resistance of 304H stainless steel round bar?
Similar to 304, resistant to atmosphere, fresh water, nitric acid and other media, moderate resistance to chloride ions (weaker than 316 series), good oxidation resistance when used for a long time at ≤870℃, higher alloys are required for temperatures above this temperature.
What is the processing performance of 304H stainless steel rolled bar?
Good welding performance, ER308H welding material is recommended, and stress can be annealed after welding. Suitable for stretching and bending, annealing is required after cold working to restore corrosion resistance and plasticity.
Heat treatment of 304H stainless steel cold rolled bar requires
Solution annealing: must be carried out (water quenching after heating at 1010-1150℃) to ensure carbon dissolution, avoid intergranular corrosion and optimize the structure.
