What is ASTM A276 Gr 321 ground and polished bar?
ASTM A276 is a stainless steel bar standard specified by the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), covering a variety of processing forms such as hot rolling, cold drawing, grinding and polishing.
UNS S32100 stainless steel bar is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel. Titanium (Ti) is added to prevent intergranular corrosion. It has excellent high temperature resistance (up to about 850°C) and corrosion resistance, and is suitable for structural parts in high temperature environments.

What is the difference between 321 stainless steel ground rods and polishing rods?
321 grinding rods are mechanically ground with a grinding wheel to remove surface oxide scale, defects or dimensional deviations. The surface roughness is usually Ra 0.8-1.6μm, with high precision (such as diameter tolerance ±0.01-0.05mm), suitable for semi-finished products that require precision processing.
321 stainless steel polishing rods are further polished (mechanical polishing or electrolytic polishing) on the basis of grinding, and the surface roughness can reach Ra 0.2-0.4μm. The surface is smooth and shiny, and is mainly used in scenes with requirements for appearance or low friction surfaces (such as medical equipment, food equipment).
