What isASTM A276 Type 321 Stainless Steel Round Bars ?
Type 321 stainless steel round bar is titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel (UNS S32100) that complies with ASTM A276 standard. Carbon is fixed by adding titanium (Ti≥5×C%) to avoid intergranular corrosion during welding. It can resist intergranular corrosion without heat treatment after welding (tested by ASTM A262 E method); it can be used for a long time at 400-800℃, and its creep resistance is better than 304 stainless steel; it is suitable for high temperature scenes such as heat treatment equipment and boiler superheaters.

What is the processing performance of 321 stainless steel round bar? Is it suitable for cold forming?
Cutting: Moderate hardness (≤201 HB), carbide tools are recommended.
Cold forming ability: Good cold drawing and bending performance. After cold processing, residual stress can be eliminated by stress relief annealing (200-300℃) to avoid deformation.
Will 321 stainless steel hot-rolled bar rust at high temperature?
A dense Cr₂O₃ film is formed below 800℃, which is not easy to rust; above 800℃, the oxide film may peel off, and high temperature resistant steel such as 310S needs to be used instead.
