With heat resistance up to 1200°C (2192°F), it offers superior oxidation resistance compared to standard stainless steels. 310S cold-formed stainless steel channel offers outstanding long-term performance, capable of stable operation in oxidizing atmospheres at 1000–1200°C. Its surface forms a dense Cr₂O₃-NiO composite oxide layer, providing excellent resistance to carburization and sulfidation-five times greater than 304 stainless steel-with a corrosion-resistant service life extended by 4 to 6 years.
The initial cost of 310S stainless steel C-channel is approximately one-third that of nickel-based alloys, yet it delivers a service life of over 20 years at 1000°C, reducing overall cost by 50%. With a density of 7.93 g/cm³, it is about 15% lighter than heat-resistant cast steel, offering dual benefits of lightweight construction and enhanced load-bearing performance.
After cold forming, the 310S stainless steel U-channel undergoes pickling and passivation, resulting in a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 1.6 μm, free of hot-rolled scale and suitable for direct use in food-grade and medical-grade clean equipment.
