ASTM A276 SS 347 C Channels Description
ASTM A276 SS 347 C Channel is a C-shaped channel manufactured from Type 347 Austenitic Stainless Steel (UNS S34700) to the requirements of ASTM A276. This material is stabilized by the addition of Niobium (Nb) or Tantalum (Ta) and is particularly suitable for welding environments and high temperature applications.

Advantages
The intergranular corrosion resistance of 347 stainless steel channel steel is 90% higher than that of 304 stainless steel, and it is particularly suitable for high-temperature welding scenarios. It also maintains good toughness at low temperatures of -196°C, with an elongation of ≥30%, and is suitable for LNG tank supports and cryogenic equipment frames.
347 polished stainless steel channel steel has passed FDA/3-A certification (surface polished to Ra≤1.6μm), and is mainly used for high-temperature sterilization equipment brackets to avoid contamination of ordinary stainless steel by precipitates after welding, and is suitable for CIP/SIP online cleaning systems.
