Super Duplex 2507 stainless steel channels (UNS S32750 / EN 1.4410) are high-performance structural profiles made from a super duplex alloy, specifically engineered for use in highly corrosive chloride environments, high-pressure systems, and critical structural applications. They are widely used in offshore platforms, chemical processing facilities, desalination plants, and marine engineering projects.
Advantages
The cold-formed 2507 C-channel is suitable for lightweight structural designs with a thickness ≤ 12 mm. After cold forming, a solution annealing treatment at 1020–1100°C is required to relieve internal stress and restore corrosion resistance.
The hot-rolled 2507 U-channel is ideal for thicker sections (>12 mm) and high-torque applications. It can meet performance requirements without additional heat treatment after rolling.
Thanks to its twice the yield strength of austenitic stainless steels such as 304L and 316L, super duplex structural profile 2507 can achieve the same structural load capacity as heavier carbon steel or austenitic stainless profiles, resulting in reduced material usage, transportation costs, and installation expenses.
