Overview

1.4919 is a high-strength, heat-resistant austenitic stainless steel, designed to meet the demands of high-temperature and high-pressure applications in European industrial fields. Composed of 19.00-22.00% chromium, 10.00-13.00% nickel, and 2.50-3.50% molybdenum, it delivers exceptional creep strength and corrosion resistance at elevated temperatures (up to 750°C for continuous service). It also contains trace amounts of titanium and niobium for stabilization, which prevent intergranular corrosion during welding and high-temperature operation. Its austenitic structure ensures non-magnetic properties and good ductility, making it suitable for critical high-temperature pressure-bearing components.

Chemical Composition (wt%)

C ≤ 0.08, Si ≤ 1.00, Mn ≤ 2.00, P ≤ 0.045, S ≤ 0.030, Cr: 19.00-22.00, Ni: 10.00-13.00, Mo: 2.50-3.50, Ti: 0.10-0.30, Nb: 0.10-0.30

Typical Mechanical Properties (Annealed Condition)

Tensile Strength (Rm): ≥ 550 MPa; Yield Strength (Rp0.2): ≥ 220 MPa; Elongation (A): ≥ 35%; Brinell Hardness (HB): ≤ 217

Core Advantages

High Cr-Mo-Ni content enhances high-temperature creep strength and corrosion resistance; titanium-niobium stabilization effectively prevents intergranular corrosion; non-magnetic structure; good weldability with proper preheating; complies with European EN high-pressure steel standards; reliable performance in critical high-temperature and high-pressure environments.

Applications

High-temperature, high-pressure boilers in European power plants, steam turbines, petrochemical cracking equipment, nuclear power plant components, and high-temperature pressure vessels.

Equivalent Grades

UNS S31635, STS316TiH, EN 1.4919, GB 06Cr19Ni13Mo3Ti, AISI 316TiH
