Overview: 316Ti stainless steel is a titanium-stabilized variant of 316, designed to eliminate intergranular corrosion during welding or long-term high-temperature service. Titanium binds with carbon, preventing carbide precipitation and maintaining corrosion resistance in harsh conditions.
Chemical Composition (wt%): Chromium (Cr): 16.0-18.0; Nickel (Ni): 10.0-14.0; Molybdenum (Mo): 2.0-3.0; Titanium (Ti): 5×C to 0.70; Carbon (C): ≤0.08; Manganese (Mn): ≤2.00; Silicon (Si): ≤1.00; Phosphorus (P): ≤0.045; Sulfur (S): ≤0.030; Iron (Fe): Balance.
Typical Mechanical Properties (Annealed Condition): Tensile Strength: ≥515 MPa; Yield Strength: ≥205 MPa; Elongation: ≥40%; Hardness (Brinell): ≤217 HB.
Core Advantages: Excellent intergranular corrosion resistance (titanium-stabilized, no post-weld annealing); retains 316's molybdenum-enhanced corrosion resistance; good weldability and formability; stable performance at high temperatures (up to 850°C).
Applications: Food and beverage processing equipment, pharmaceutical systems, heat exchangers, pressure vessels, high-temperature exhaust systems, marine structures, and chemical processing pipelines.
Equivalent Grades: UNS S31635; EN 1.4571; JIS SUS316Ti; GB/T 06Cr17Ni12Mo2Ti.
