What type of stainless steel is 904L?
UNS NO8904, commonly known as 904L, is a low carbon high alloy austenitic stainless steel which is widely used in applications where the corrosion properties of AISI 316L and AISI 317L are not adequate.

What is equivalent to 2507 duplex?
UNS S32750 is a super duplex stainless steel, also known as SAF2507. It is available as solid bar, plate, pipe, fittings, forgings and castings. When specifying castings, the nearest equivalent specifications are ASTM A890, ASTM A995 and ASME SA351/995 grade CE3Mn or 5A, also written as J93404 or 25Cr-7Ni-Mo-N.

What is the difference between duplex 2205 and 2507?
Duplex 2205 and Super Duplex 2507 are both duplex stainless steels, but 2507 offers higher strength and corrosion resistance due to a higher alloy content, particularly in molybdenum and nitrogen. While 2205 is a cost-effective option for many applications, 2507 is preferred for environments with extreme corrosiveness or high mechanical stress.

What is the difference between S32760 and 2507?
Duplex 2507 is designed for demanding applications which require exceptional strength and corrosion resistance, such as chemical process, petrochemical, and seawater equipment. UNS S32760 is a super duplex stainless steel with a microstructure of 50% austenite and 50% ferrite.

What is the price of 904L material?

The price of 904L stainless steel typically ranges from $8,000 to $15,000 per ton, depending on factors like form (plate/sheet/pipe), thickness, surface finish, and order volume. Compared to standard 316L ($3,000-$5,000/ton), 904L costs 2-3x more due to its high nickel (23-28%) and molybdenum (4-5%) content. For exact pricing, request a quote with specifications (e.g., ASTM A240 sheets, EN 1.4539 pipes).
