What is A815 material?

ASTM A815/A815M standard specification for wrought ferritic, ferritic/austenitic (duplex), and martensitic stainless steel pipe fittings, covering materials like UNS S31803, UNS S32205, UNS S32750, UNS S32760 that offer excellent corrosion resistance and strength for piping systems. It defines requirements for seamless and welded fittings, including different classes (WP-S, WP-W, etc.) based on manufacturing and testing, used in demanding industrial applications.

UNS S31803 stainless steel tees have a pitting resistance equivalent number (PREN) of 32-35, offering more than 40% higher resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion than 316L stainless steel in chloride-rich media, with a corrosion rate of ≤0.08 mm/year at 120℃. With a yield strength of ≥450 MPa and tensile strength of ≥620 MPa, twice that of traditional austenitic stainless steel, it can withstand high-pressure operating conditions up to 12 MPa, making it an ideal choice for oil and gas, chemical, and water treatment systems.

Each product undergoes 100% radiographic testing and hydrostatic testing at 1.5 times the working pressure to ensure zero defects.
