DIN 17457 specifies the requirements for welded circular steel tubes made from austenitic stainless steel. These tubes are designed for special applications where corrosion resistance, strength, and durability are paramount.
DIN 17457 1.4301 stainless steel welded tubes (corresponding to ASTM A249) are made from austenitic stainless steel (X5CrNi18-10/SUS304), offering excellent corrosion resistance, formability, and weldability. They are suitable for applications in the chemical, food processing, and construction industries.

They are delivered solution treated and pickled, and undergo hydraulic testing and radiographic flaw detection before shipment.
