SUS309S Stainless Steel: High-Temperature Performance OverviewHow to Select SUS304 vs. SUS316 for Marine UseSUS410 Stainless Steel: Ideal for High-Strength Applications

Corrosion Resistance: SUS304 offers strong resistance to atmospheric corrosion, freshwater, mild acids, and many chemicals. It is not recommended for highly corrosive environments such as seawater or high-chloride solutions.

Formability: The material has excellent ductility, allowing it to be easily bent, rolled, deep drawn, and stamped into complex shapes.

Weldability: SUS304 can be welded using common methods such as TIG, MIG, and SMAW without requiring post-weld heat treatment for most applications.

Mechanical Properties: In the annealed state, SUS304 plate typically has a tensile strength of 515–720 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa minimum, and elongation of 40% or more.

Non-Magnetic: SUS304 is non-magnetic in the annealed condition, though cold working may introduce slight magnetism.

Typical Applications
