Description

SUS304 is the most widely used austenitic stainless steel in the JIS standard, corresponding to the classic 18–8 stainless steel grade. It offers an excellent balance of corrosion resistance, formability, weldability, and cost-effectiveness. With stable performance in atmospheric, freshwater, and food-processing environments, it provides good oxidation resistance and ease of fabrication. Although not intended for severely corrosive or high-chloride marine conditions, it delivers sufficient durability for most general industrial and daily applications. Its versatility and reliability have made it the universal standard for structural, decorative, and functional components across industries worldwide.
