1.4512 vs 1.4509 stainless steel: DifferencesComparison Of 201 And 316 Stainless Steel: Economic Austenitic Vs Standard Austenitic Grade1.4512 vs 1.4301 stainless steel: Corrosion resistance

Exceptional High-Temperature Strength

SUS310S maintains its mechanical strength at temperatures up to 1100°C (2012°F) and can withstand short-term exposure to even higher temperatures. This makes it ideal for furnace components, heat exchangers, and industrial kiln parts.

Outstanding Oxidation Resistance

The high chromium content (24–26%) forms a dense, stable chromium oxide layer on the surface, which protects the material from oxidation, scaling, and burnout in high-heat environments. It is widely used in continuous high-temperature processes.

Good Corrosion Resistance

While primarily a heat-resistant grade, SUS310S also provides good resistance to corrosion in mild chemical environments, including oxidizing acids and atmospheric conditions.

Excellent Weldability and Formability

SUS310S can be easily welded using common methods such as TIG, MIG, and SMAW. It also offers good ductility and formability for fabricating complex shapes.

Non-Magnetic

In the annealed state, SUS310S is non-magnetic, though cold working may introduce slight magnetism.
