Overview
UNS S32100 is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel, designed to maintain excellent intergranular corrosion resistance during high-temperature service and welding. By adding 0.20-0.70% titanium, it forms titanium carbides that prevent chromium depletion, ensuring corrosion resistance even when exposed to temperatures between 427-816°C, where碳化铬 precipitation is common. With 17.00-19.00% chromium and 9.00-12.00% nickel, it forms a stable austenitic structure, making it non-magnetic in the annealed state. This grade offers better ductility and stress fracture resistance than 304-series alloys, and is widely used in high-temperature applications where intergranular corrosion is a major concern.
Chemical Composition (wt%)
C ≤ 0.08, Cr: 17.00-19.00, Ni: 9.00-12.00, Ti: 0.20-0.70, Mn ≤ 2.00, Si ≤ 1.00, P ≤ 0.045, S ≤ 0.030
Typical Mechanical Properties (Annealed Condition)
Tensile Strength (Rm): ≥ 515 MPa; Yield Strength (Rp0.2): ≥ 205 MPa; Elongation (A): ≥ 40%; Brinell Hardness (HB): ≤ 201
Core Advantages
Titanium stabilization prevents intergranular corrosion in high-temperature service and welded joints; excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance (up to 816°C continuous service); non-magnetic; good weldability and formability; superior ductility and stress fracture resistance compared to 304-series alloys; suitable for high-temperature corrosive environments.
Applications
High-temperature heat exchangers, steam pipelines, chemical reactors, aerospace components, and industrial equipment operating in high-temperature environments where intergranular corrosion resistance is critical.
Equivalent Grades
EN 1.4878, STS321, GB 06Cr18Ni10Ti, AISI 321, SUS321
