What  Is 1.4542 Material?

EN 1.4542 stainless steel, also known as X5CrNiCuNb16-4, is a precipitation hardened (PH) martensitic stainless steel with a hardness of approximately 43 HRC. The grade has a hardening peak temperature of 480°C, making it easy to age after machining in the initial solution state (Condition A). The grade is also available in pre-treated and/or aerospace grade remelted versions. Widely used in aerospace, marine, chemical and precision engineering industries.
