ASTM A249 TP347 welded tube for boiler introduction
ASTM A249 TP347 stainless steel boiler tube is an austenitic stainless acid-resistant steel containing chromium, nickel and niobium. It has high temperature resistance and intergranular corrosion resistance. It has a melting point of 1398-1427℃, a density of 7.9g/cm³, a specific heat capacity of 500J/(kg・K), and an elastic modulus of 196GPa at 20℃ (167GPa at 600℃). It is widely used in aviation, petrochemical, food, papermaking and other industries. The working temperature does not exceed 850℃. During manufacturing, it needs to be solution treated at 980-1150℃ and quickly cooled to improve mechanical and corrosion resistance.

What is the difference between TP347 and TP321 (containing titanium) pipe?
TP347 stainless steel pipe has better resistance to intergranular corrosion at high temperatures due to its stronger carbide-forming ability of niobium, and is suitable for oxidation and corrosion resistance environments at higher temperatures (such as above 850°C). TP321 relies on the combination of titanium and carbon and performs well at moderately high temperatures.
