What is 310S Stainless Steel Hot Rolled Bars ?
310S stainless steel round bar, also known as 2520 stainless steel, is a high chromium-nickel austenitic stainless steel (UNS S31008) that complies with international standards such as ASTM A276 and ASME SA-276. Its core components are 25% chromium (Cr) + 20% nickel (Ni). It is a material designed for high temperature environments above 1150°C and is widely used in key components under extreme high temperature conditions.

The oxide film stability of 310S stainless steel bars in high-temperature atmospheres containing carbon and sulfur (such as heat treatment furnaces and incinerators) is better than that of 304/309 stainless steel, reducing the risk of intergranular corrosion.
310S stainless steel round bars have good cold drawing and bending properties, but the work hardening rate is high (about 1.5 times that of 304 stainless steel), and complex forming requires multiple annealing (1050-1150℃ water cooling). It is recommended to use carbide tools (such as YG8), reduce the cutting speed (≤40 m/min) and fully cool to avoid tool sticking and tool wear.
