201 and 202 stainless steel C-channels are economical austenitic stainless steel structural profiles with high manganese and high nitrogen content, designed as low-nickel alternatives to 304 stainless steel. These channels offer good mechanical strength, excellent formability, and moderate corrosion resistance, and are mainly used for indoor structures, decorative frames, equipment enclosures, and light-duty supports.
Advantages
201 stainless steel C-channels have the lowest cost and are easy to form, making them suitable for dry environments such as indoor decoration and shelving, but their corrosion resistance is relatively weak.
202 stainless steel C-channels contain higher nickel and manganese content, offering better strength and corrosion resistance than 201, and can be used in mildly humid environments such as kitchen equipment and outdoor signage.
Both 201 and 202 stainless steel channel bars support mechanical polishing to a surface finish of Ra ≤ 0.8μm, resulting in a bright and attractive appearance. They can be directly used for mall decorative trims and furniture frames, replacing aluminum alloy and saving up to 40% in cost.
