ASTM A213 TP309S Bright Annealed Tube Advantages
ASTM A213 TP309S seamless stainless steel pipe is austenitic stainless steel, containing 22-24% chromium and 12-15% nickel. It forms a dense oxide film (Cr₂O₃) at high temperatures, and its oxidation resistance temperature can reach 1093°C, making it suitable for high-temperature environments such as boilers and heating furnaces.
The high chromium and nickel content of ASTM A213 TP309S Bright Annealed Tube makes it perform well in organic acids, nitric acid and high-temperature sulfides. After annealing, cold working stress is eliminated, surface defects are reduced, the passivation film is more uniform, and the resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion is improved. It is better than 304 stainless steel and is suitable for high-corrosion scenarios such as chemical and petrochemical industries.
