What is the difference between 304 and 304L stainless steel polished plates?

304L (C≤0.03%) is an ultra-low carbon version. It can resist intergranular corrosion without heat treatment after welding. It is suitable for high-frequency welding scenarios such as chemical equipment and medical equipment;

304 (C≤0.08%) is easy to precipitate carbides in the heat-affected zone of welding and requires additional treatment to prevent corrosion. It is suitable for ordinary decoration, kitchen and bathroom and other non-harsh environments.

304L stainless steel has stronger corrosion resistance but costs 10%-15% more. The surface polishing performance of the two is the same, and can be selected according to welding requirements and corrosion environment.

Will the surface texture of 304 stainless steel polished plate break or change color when it is processed and bent?
304L elongation ≥45%, bending radius ≥1.5× plate thickness (such as 1.0mm plate bending radius ≥1.5mm), the polished surface has no cracks and the texture is not broken; clean the residual grease of the mold in time after bending to avoid high temperature carbonization and contamination of the surface.
