What is astm a276 Stainless Steel 430F Round Bar ?
430F is a free-cutting ferritic stainless steel with improved processing performance by adding sulfur (S). It complies with ASTM A276 specifications and is suitable for stainless steel bars (hot rolled, cold drawn and ground).

ASTM A276 430F SS Round Bars advantages
430F stainless steel cold rolled bar is ferrite structure, does not contain nickel, and has chromium as the main alloying element. It is cheaper than austenitic stainless steel and has good high temperature oxidation resistance. It can be cold worked and strengthened (such as cold drawing), but its plasticity is lower than austenitic stainless steel. It has good weldability (heat input needs to be controlled to avoid grain coarsening), reduces cutting resistance, and increases tool life. It is suitable for high-speed machining on automatic lathes.
