ASTM A479 431 Cold Drawn Bright Bar is formed through cold drawing to achieve h6 tolerance accuracy (±0.01–±0.03mm). The process removes oxidation scale from hot rolling, resulting in a uniform bright surface with a surface roughness of Ra ≤ 1.6 μm. This finish eliminates the need for secondary processing, meeting the requirements for precision mechanical assembly (e.g., bearings, gearboxes), saving 30% in machining costs. The corrosion resistance is 30% superior to that of 410 stainless steel.

🔹Stainless Steel 431 Bright Bars contain 15-17% chromium, forming a passivation layer that provides excellent resistance to atmospheric and freshwater corrosion. Preheating is recommended at 150-200°C before welding. Use ER430 or ENiCrFe-3 electrodes. After welding, slow cooling is necessary to avoid cracking.
